Ashleigh Barty broke Simona Halep is serve in the final game of  the match .The  no.1  ranked Halep 6-4, 6-4 in second round on Wednesday at Sydney international. It's was Halep's 1st match since October, Barty said - she gave 8n belting in Montreal. I learnt a little bit more in Cincinnati but today I knuckled down and really thought about it and really give myself a chance .

The biggest thing and I believed that I could win we are both out here on the same court ,just very happy .

Ashleigh Barty is an Australian tennis player . She is the top-ranked Australian player in women's , both singles and doubles, and has been ranked up as high as No.15 in singles and No.5 in doubles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Barty has won 3 singles titles and 9 doubles titles on the WTA Tour, including one Grand Slam title at the 2018 US Open with partner CoCo Vandeweghe. Barty has also reached at the doubles final at all four Grand Slam tournaments with her long time partner and compatriot Casey Dellacqua.

Barty started her professional career in 2010 just after turning 14 at an International Tennis Federation (ITF) $25K event in her hometown of Ipswich. She lost her first match against Karolina Wlodarczak. Barty played in the one more main draw that year in Mount Gambier, where she reached the semifinals in just her second professional tournament. Barty first pro match win came against Ayu Fani Damayanti.

In 2011, she entered 3 more $25K events in Australia, with her best results being two quarterfinals. Following her girl singles title at Wimbledon, Tennis awarded Barty a wildcard into qualifying at the US Open. Barty debute in singles and doubles on the WTA Tour in early 2012. Her doubles debut came at the Brisbane International, the 1st event of the year. After losing singles qualifying, she had partnered with Dellacqua to make her semifinals in doubles while still just 15 years old.
