Serena Jameka Williams is an American professional tennis player. The Women's Tennis Association(WTA) ranked her world No. One in singles on 8 separate occasions between 2002 and 2017. She reached the No. One ranking for the 1st time on July 8, 2002.

Serena is primarily a baseline player, and her game is built around taking immediate control of rallies with her powerful and consistent serve,  return of serve, and forceful groundstrokes from both her forehand and backhand swings. Williams's fore hand is consider to be among the most powerful shots in the women's game.

The 107th Australian Open will start in Melbourne from January 14th in Australia. This time in 114-year-old tournament, everyone will be at the US Serena Williams. The 37-year-old Serena has won 23 Grand Slams so far. If Serena wins the final here, the former Australia player will match the all-time record of Margaret Court. Margaret won the most 24 Grand Slam titles. Serena had won her previous Grand Slam at the Australian Open also. Despite being two months pregnant in 2017, he had captured this title.

After becoming a mother, Serena reached the Grand Slam final twice, but she had to face defeat. He was defeated by Angelique Karber of Germany last year at Wimbledon. At the same time, the US Open was defeated by Naomi Osaka of Japan. Serena's current ranking, representing the US at the Hopman Cup at the end of last year, is 16. Despite this, he is being described as a contender for the tournament by looking at his record. However, Serena's road will not be easy. This time he got the hardest draw in the tournament. Serena's first match will be from Germany's Tatjana Maria. Maria's world ranking is 71. If Serena beat them, then they can face the 129th ranked Chinese player Shuai Peng in the second round. At the same time, Serena will face 23rd ranked Spanish player Carla Navarro in the third round. After crossing three rounds, Serena will have more problems. In the fourth round, they will face World number one Simon Halep of Romania. If they crossed the Halep challenge, then in the quarter-finals, the 7th ranked player in front of them would be Carolina Pliscova of Czech Republic. If Halep and Pliskova beat Serena, then in the semi-finals Ukraine's Elena will meet Switolina. Switolina's world ranking is six. If Serena beat them, then Germany's Kerber can once again be in front of them in the final. Karber is currently the world's second number player. In such a situation, 37-year-old Serena will have to beat four players in the top of the rankings to win the 24th Grand Slam. That's why Serena is considered to be the hardest draw. They have to do their best to match Margate.
